"Being buyers (especially buyers with two kids under three and on a tight budget) in a 'sellers market' was always going to be difficult. We had a long and very stressful search for our new house. We wereconstantly frustrated by real estate agents who were 'too busy' to return our calls and emails or who didn't bother because 'it was sold before you contacted me'.Then there were those whoignored what we hadvery carefully explainedwe were looking for and tried to sell us anything and everything that was in our price range regardless,wasting our time, and theirs. I listed my house with 6 real estate agents right after the end of the Real Estate "boom'" in Qld, mainly because I'd heard that exclusive listers didn't work as hard. The next few weeks, I was to learn quite the opposite. Sharyn Macaulay from REMAX was the only agent who brought prospective buyers back to the house more than once.
